En definisjon p\u00e5 trening er: \u00abPlanlagt, strukturert og repetitiv fysisk aktivitet over lengre tid, med et spesifikt ytre motiv, som for eksempel \u00e5 forbedre eller opprettholde fysisk form, prestasjonsniv\u00e5 eller helse\u201d (Bouchard og Shepard 1993).<\/p><p>Menneskekroppen er skapt for bevegelse, og fysisk aktivitet gj\u00f8r godt for kropp og sjel.
